Dear Baby Bug-
What a weekend we are having, Bug! Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Rand are here and we have been busy, busy, busy! They arrived last night around 6:00 and we went straight to Daddy's game at Thornridge High School. Daddy's team played really well and they won by almost 10 points! He was very happy with the way his team played and we went out to El Salto to celebrate (and to get dinner because we were hungry!). After dinner, we came home and spent the rest of the night resting and talking.
Today has been very exciting- it was finally the day of your 3-D ultrasound. Grandma Cindy and I started the day by relaxing while Daddy was at basketball practice and Grandpa Rand ran some errands. Once everyone was home and ready to go, we picked up Grandma Carol and drove out to The Belly Factory for your photo shoot. They took us right in to the comfy room again and started to look at you. You are a lot bigger today than you were 10 weeks ago at our last Belly Factory appointment and, to our relief, still a girl. You were very stubborn and had your face in the wrong direction. No matter what the technicians tried, you WOULD NOT turn around. They tried poking at you, having me roll over, and finally had me drink half of a Coke. I haven't had caffeine in 7 months! When that didn't work, they decided it was time to give up. You were just too stubborn. They were super nice about it and said that maybe we should go eat some lunch and come back. We decided to do just that and went to eat pizza and then walked around Alsip for a little bit.
We went back to The Belly Factory at 4:45 and as soon as the technician started showing you, she could tell that you were now facing the right direction. The only problem was, you kept putting your hands up by your face so we couldn't get a clear shot of you! Grrrrr!! Again, the technician poked at you to try to get you to move your hands. She was finally able to get some good pictures and I am going to try to post them here so that you can see what you look like at 30 weeks, still inside Mommy's tummy. It was so fun to see you today, Bug, but we are getting anxious to meet you in person. Only 10 more weeks! And, to top it all off, your head is already way down which, if you stay that way, will be a good thing when you need to come out. I sure hope you know what you're doing, because I sure don't! No matter what, we love you- stubborn or not!
