Bug's First Blizzard and the Arrival of Finn Hoyle!

Dear Baby Bug-

It has been a super exciting past couple of days, Bug! First of all, Baby Hoyle finally came out to play- he was born on January 31st and his official name is Finn Harper Hoyle. I can't wait for you guys to play together and for you to meet him when you get here in April. His Mommy and Daddy are so excited that he is here and he came just before the biggest snowstorm that we have had in a long time. Just so you have a sneak peak, here is his very handsome first picture:

I know that you don't know much about weather yet, Bug, but you should SEE the snow that we have had in the past couple of days. Daddy told me that the weather people were predicting a blizzard for this week and boy were they right!! It started snowing yesterday at about 1:00 and it just now let up over 24 hours later! Mommy's school never cancels for snow, but both Daddy and I had off school today and I already have a snow day for tomorrow! It's a miracle! I can't believe that these snow days happened on the year that I don't have to worry about making them up because I will be home with you! What a perfect time for this blizzard. Everyone that we know is home safe and sound and it looks like we won't be going anywhere for quite awhile. Here are some pictures from this morning:

Here is the view from your bedroom this morning. I can't believe how big the drifts are! I am writing this blog in the afternoon, and the bench by the tree has snow all the way up to the top of it! Rudy and Zoey are NOT liking going potty today!

That's your dad clearing the snow off the driveway! He is all bundled up and he was out there for HOURS. He tried to go to Grandma Carol and Grandpa Jeff's house to help clear their snow, but he got stuck too many times and couldn't make it all the way. We talked to them and they are doing fine, so hopefully Daddy can make it over there later.

Just when Daddy got all the snow cleared, it started snowing like CRAZY again! I don't know if you can really tell, but it is really coming down in this picture. This picture was taken from the living room window and you can see the neighbors trying to shovel through the snow!

On top of all the snow and the excitement of Finn's arrival, we also are worried about Grandma Cindy. She had surgery yesterday on her throat and luckily Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Walter and Aunt Sharon are all there to take care of her. She is doing fine right now and we are anxious to hear about what is next for her. We love her so very much and can't wait to see her again in a few weeks for your shower!

Well, Bug, I only hope that you will like the winter months because it sure does get crazy around here some times. We just can't wait until the weather gets nicer because it will mean that it's almost time for you to come out. I am so happy that you are going to be born in the spring when the weather is nice and we will have no problems getting you home. It will be so much fun! Until next time, stay snug as a bug in a rug in Mommy's tummy and I will show you new pictures of my belly in a couple of days. Mommy and Daddy love you!

  1. Baby Bug-

Finn told me to say hello to you, and he is so excited to meet you. Also, he recommended coming out in much less time than he did.
