Saturday March 26, 2011...Painting the Nursery and 36 Weeks!

Dear Baby Bug:

Boy is this a big weekend, Bug! Grandma Cindy and Aunt Lou came today to stay with us so that Aunt Lou could paint some fun things in your nursery and then we can all go to your last shower tomorrow. Grandma Cindy and Aunt Lou arrived at our house around 9:30 this morning and Aunt Lou got right to work on painting your room. She started off with a beautiful tree in the corner then moved on to some ladybugs above your bed and more ladybugs around your baseboards. She finished off the night by painting a dragonfly by the tree. Once she was done, Daddy ordered pizza for dinner and Grandma Carol even stopped by to see the finished product. We had such a great time together and really appreciate all of Aunt Lou's hard work. Here are some pictures of what she did:

Aunt Lou is so talented- she did all of this in just a couple of hours! The tree is beautiful and the finished product is coming up a little later.

Here is Aunt Lou painting the ladybugs above your bed- she is so talented!

Here are the three ladybugs that will watch over you while you sleep. One is a sleeping ladybug, one is a ladybug playing the violin (just like Leslie does!) and another ladybug is dancing to the music...so cute!

Here are two ladybug friends waiting for you to arrive- they can see you from across your room when you are in your crib!

Here is the finished tree with the dragonfly- isn't it amazing?

Amidst all the excitement we took some time to recognize the fact that as of today, you have officially made it to 36 weeks. We have been praying for this day for weeks and you are finally out of the "danger zone" according to Dr. Hamburg. We'd still like for you to hang in there for another few weeks, but you have done a beautiful job at staying put like we've asked you to. Here are some pictures of you in Mommy's tummy at 36 weeks- pretty soon I will be posting pictures of you outside my tummy...and we can't wait!!

One final piece of excitement for the weekend was the work your Daddy did for you. He replaced the light bulbs in your room, put new hardware on your closet doors, and stained the Terry family cradle which turned out beautifully. Here is the finished product:

I can't wait to write all about your shower, Bug~ I will be talking to you about that VERY soon! Mommy loves you :)
